Photo Art Studio is a software that comes packed with some elements that you need to create greeting cards, collages, and others.

The user interface of the tool is plain and simple. You can add an image file by using the file browser (the "drag and drop" method is unsupported).

Now, you can edit the photograph by adjusting its brightness (contrast and saturation), tint (hue and lightness), balance (cyan, magenta, yellow), as well as rotate and crop it.

In addition, you can apply various filters which consist of ΓÇ£SepiaΓÇ¥ (scratch effect, dark borders, stamp effect), ΓÇ£ColorizeΓÇ¥ (hue, lightness, saturation), ΓÇ£WaveΓÇ¥ (amplitude, width, phase), ΓÇ£WatercolorΓÇ¥ (brush size, sharpness, saturation) and ΓÇ£Color ReductionΓÇ¥ (color count, use single tint, choose color).

Furthermore, you can insert templates of greeting cards (e.g. "Children", "Students", "Christmas", "Romantic"), picture frames (optionally use portrait frame), a frame generator, collages, masks and clip art.

But you can also add accents (e.g. negative or color tint filters, set frame width, add borders, soft borders), borders, captions, or select an automatic enhance mode when it comes to saturation, white balance, histogram, lightness, and others.

The program takes up a high amount of system resources, includes a well-drawn help file and is very simple to use by novices. Our favorite parts consist of the "Sepia" and "Accents" settings.

However, power users would probably be disappointed because Photo Art Studio doesn't provide enough options to fully customize some parts (for example, you cannot adjust greeting cards or collages, and you cannot build them from scratch).

Furthermore, playing with this software can become a frustrating process. Only the "Edit" option offers a small window in which you can preview results in real time before applying them. Otherwise, you have to wait several seconds before any changes are made in the picture. And the "Undo" button can only take you one step back.
